Sde Eliezer

Sde Eliezer is a Moshav in the Naphtali Valley in the northern Galilee of Israel. It is affiliated with the Mevo'ot HaHermon Regional Council. Sde Eleizer was founded in 1950 by residents of Yesod HaMa'ala and Kiryat Shmona. Mostly immigrants from Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, Poland and Romania settled there. The Moshav was named for Robert (Eliezer) Rothschild, grandson of Edmond de Rothschild. Today, there is a mixed community and still growing. There are about 100 members of the Moshav - it has an active Beit Knesset and a resident Rabbi, although most of the community are not followers - they do have regular services.

On the side of the settlement there is a new development extension for mainly young families comprising about 70 families. People either work the land, run private businesses from home or commute to other areas in the vicinity.

One can experience the freshness of the cool air and enjoy the splendid views of the mountains. Many places have bed and breakfast facilities for vacationing families frome the south of the country coming to enjoy a getaway from the bustling cities.

Come and see for yourself!
